Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Peoria, IL seeks a Part-time Sales Associate to support B2B customers at 910 SW Jefferson Ave. You will engage in consultative sales, develop new business, and grow relationships using Fastenal's inventory management solutions.

The role is 10-28 hours/week, with shifts Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm; candidates should be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Training provided and opportunities to advance within Fastenal.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements to operate a company vehicle.
• Pursuing degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR have customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Demonstrate aptitude for sales and a customer-service mindset.
• Motivated, self-directed and organized.
• Strong math, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Adherence to Fastenal core values: ambition, innovation, integrity, teamwork.
• Lift/move 25-50 lbs, up to 75 lbs.
• Pass drug screen where required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting B2B sales and customer service activities.
• Providing value through a consultative sales approach.
• Developing new relationships and growing existing ones from leads and referrals.
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs.
• Conducting local sales calls using a company vehicle.
• Performs other duties to ensure branch success.
