Job summary

Fastenal's Green Bay branch is hiring a Part-time Sales Associate to support B2B customers with consultative selling of inventory management solutions and to grow the branch’s book of business.

You’ll build and nurture relationships from leads and referrals, coordinate resources to meet service needs, and perform local sales calls using a company vehicle. The role requires 18+ years, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills, with up to 28 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with ability to meet driving record requirements to operate a company vehicle.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field OR customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY).

Responsibilities

• Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities

• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
