Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate for our Effingham, IL branch. The role focuses on B2B sales support, consultative selling, and developing customer relationships while working 10–28 hours per week.

Responsibilities include responding to customer needs, performing local sales calls, and contributing to branch success. Requires 18+ and a valid driver’s license; pay range is $16–$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle requirements.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field, or equivalent customer service experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Sales aptitude with a customer-service orientation.
• Highly motivated, self-directed.
• Strong math, organization, and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
• Providing value to customer through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
