Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Oshkosh, WI is hiring a Part-time Sales Associate to support B2B customers with a consultative sales approach. You’ll develop relationships, present inventory management solutions, and contribute to branch success.

Shifts are MON–FRI with early hours; up to 28 hours per week. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a valid driver's license, and strong communication and computer skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements for company vehicle use
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Management or related field, or customer service/industry experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrated aptitude for sales and desire to sell
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
• Demonstrate Fastenal core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs)
• Pass required drug screen (US, Puerto Rico and Guam)

Responsibilities

• Support B2B sales and customer service activities
• Provide value with a consultative sales approach
• Develop and grow relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer service needs
• Perform local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success
