Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, help customers, and develop the sales team.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring store fixtures remain effective.

The role emphasizes a hands-on supervisor approach, strong communication, and a friendly, safe environment for customers and staff; prior retail leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Retail store management experience in grocery, retail, or drugstore settings is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending and reaching.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and open/close procedures.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness, fixtures, displays, and loss prevention measures.
• Support ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, deposits, and receipts.
• Train and develop store associates and supervise the Store Manager's directives.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
