Job summary

Dollar Tree in Clarence, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and the development of team members. You will assist with daily store activities and help ensure a high level of customer service.

You will organize merchandise, maintain stockrooms, train associates, and uphold safety and company policies while keeping the store clean, presentable, and well-stocked for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions and provide friendly service.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Follow safety guidelines and store policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
