Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with daily activities, supervise associates, maintain displays, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills to keep the store running smoothly and welcoming to shoppers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and be physically active.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Able to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organization and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive manner.
• Move merchandise from truck to stockroom to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, damage processing, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures; ensure staff compliance.
• Assist Store Manager with supervision, training and development of Associates.
• Maintain a friendly, professional environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store bathrooms and areas neat; sweep/mop floors and take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
