Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Latham, New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, serve customers, and develop the team.

The role supports the Store Manager with daily tasks and ensures merchandise is available and presentable. You will assist with opening/closing, payroll-related record keeping, and loss prevention, while maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and evidence of reading and applying directives is expected.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting as part of store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and ensure displays are clean, stocked, and presentable.
