Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Xenia, Ohio to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, merchandise organization, payroll and scheduling support, loss prevention, and coaching Store Associates to deliver friendly, efficient service. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
