Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lebanon, OH to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention while helping to train and coach store associates.

The role emphasizes strong communication and collaboration in a high-energy retail environment, with a focus on maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environments preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure merchandising standards
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, record-keeping including payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized according to company standards
• Protect assets and store cash while following policies and safety guidelines
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
