Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2 to help lead the loudest store in the mall. You’ll support the Store Manager in hitting sales targets, recruiting, and development, combining leadership with a passion for music and pop culture.

You’ll balance operations with customer-first selling, promote new products, and drive engagement through promotions, social media, and curbside options. Team development and data-informed decisions are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, operations and team development skills.
• Good time management and leadership abilities.
• High School diploma or GED; degree is a plus.
• Adaptable to a fast-changing retail environment.
• Ability to manage store operations and promote sales.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving the sales plan and comp goals.
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative team.
• Promote new products and manage promotions including BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership to run an operational, customer-first store.
• Monitor shrink, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
• Communicate with retail leadership and HQ on trends and feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide sales strategy.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promos on time.
