Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) seeks a part-time Assistant Club Director to support daily operations at the Westwood Club in Elyria, OH. The role reports to the Club Director and involves program staff leadership, community engagement, and ensuring a quality youth experience.

Requirements include a four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus a background in youth program supervision, and valid driver’s license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or subsequent professional experience.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people.
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise & motivate staff.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
• Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
• Valid State Driver’s License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations at the Westwood Club site.
• Assist Club Director with recruiting, selecting and managing program staff.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks.
• Cultivate positive relationships with local businesspeople, school officials, politicians, parents and other social service agencies and the community at large.
• Ensure building and property of the Club are safe, clean and in good condition for daily programming.
