Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) seeks a dynamic PT Assistant Club Director to support daily After-School Youth Program operations at the Westwood Club in Elyria, OH. You will report to the Club Director/Regional Area Director and assist in managing the site, leading staff in the director's absence.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people.
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise & motivate staff.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
• Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
• Valid State Driver’s License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 month of hire)

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily After-School Youth Program operations of our Westwood Club in Elyria, OH.
• Report to the Club Director/Regional Area Director and be responsible for assisting in the management of one location.
• In the absence of the club director, serve as lead staff person at the site and work with administration, Club staff and volunteers to provide members with an optimal Club experience.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks.
• Cultivate positive relationships with local businesspeople, school officials, politicians, parents and other social service agencies and the community at large.
• Ensure building and property of the Club are safe, clean and in good condition for daily programming.
• Provide guidance and be a Role Model.
