Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) seeks a dynamic PT Assistant Club Director (ACD) to assist with daily operations at the Elmwood Club in Garfield Heights, OH. This role reports to the Club Director and involves program management, staff supervision and community engagement to provide youth with an exceptional Club experience.

Preferred candidates hold a four-year degree with related experience. 25 hours per week, typical schedule 1 pm–6 pm, Aug–May, with summer shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities for youth
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and recruitment of key personnel
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test
• Valid State Driver’s License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Assist Club Director with recruiting, selecting and managing program staff
• Cultivate positive relationships with local businesspeople, school officials, politicians, parents and community partners
• Ensure programs and services align with BGCA quality commitments
• Promote, stimulate and recruit student membership for the Club
• Provide administrative and operational support at the Elmwood Club
• Ensure building and property are safe, clean and well-maintained for daily programming
• Serve as lead staff at the site in the absence of the club director
