Qualifications

• Four year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization with youth.
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and recruitment.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
• Valid State Driver's License and CPR certification required or obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure programs & services align with quality standards.
• Promote and recruit student membership for the Club.
• Assist Club Director with recruiting and managing program staff.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks at the site.
• Foster relationships with local businesses, schools, officials and the community.

Urgently Hiring for the 2026 27 School Year Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio BGCNEO is seeking a dynamic and experienced PT Assistant Club Director to assist with daily After School Youth Program operations of our Westwood Club in Elyria OH This individual will report to the Club DirectorRegional Area Director and be responsible for assisting in the management of one location; in the absence of the club director serve as lead staff person at the site and work with administration Club staff and volunteers to provide members with an optimal Club experience Our hope is to find someone with a background in the following areas Program management staff supervision effective guidance and communication both verbal and written skills Bachelors degree preferred andor subsequent professional experience This is a Part Time position Monday through Friday Payrate is 18.26 per hour School Year shift approx 2pm 7pm Aug May Summer Shift approx 8am 5pm June 1 Aug 15 Includes Paid Time off and Paid Holidays Paid Training and Opportunities for Advancement

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Ensure programs & services prepare youth consistent with BGCAs commitment to quality
• Promote stimulate and recruit student membership for the Club
• Assist Club Director with recruiting selecting and managing program staff
• Perform administrative and operational tasks
• Cultivate positive and beneficial relationships with local businesspeople school officials politicians parents and other social service agencies and the community at large
• Ensure building and property of the Club are safe clean and in good condition for daily programming
• Provide guidance and be a Role Model

Preferred Skills & Requirements
