Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio is hiring a part-time Assistant Club Director (ACD) to support daily operations at the Westwood Club in Elyria, OH. The role reports to the Club Director and focuses on program oversight, staff coordination, and youth engagement.

The position requires a four-year degree and experience in supervision, with a schedule typical from 1 pm to 6 pm (Aug–May) and summer shifts possible. Opportunities exist for advancement and benefits include PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities.
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
• Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
• Valid State Driver’s License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations at the Westwood Club.
• Support program management and staff supervision.
• Ensure programs and services align with BGCA's commitment to quality.
• Recruit, select and manage program staff.
• Maintain safe, clean, and well-equipped facilities.
• Develop relationships with local businesses, schools, officials and community partners.
• Provide guidance and act as a role model.
