Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers in San Gabriel, CA seeks an Early Learning / TK Program Leader (Jr. Rangers Club Leader) to oversee a fun, safe, age-appropriate afterschool program for about 20 children.

This part-time role reports to the Site Coordinator and offers afternoon hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00/6:00 PM, with shifts varying by location. Ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, plus experience in expanded learning or youth recreation; a preferred Associate's in Child Development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience in after-school/expanded learning programs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, and staff.
• Willingness to participate in trainings and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, supportive environment for students.
• Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Monitor attendance and student engagement in program activities.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinator to plan events and meet program goals.
• Attend required trainings and ensure safety procedures are followed.
