Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking an Afterschool Site Director for the Brookhaven, GA locations. This part-time role oversees day-to-day operations, plans activities, and ensures compliance with YMCA and Bright from the Start requirements.

You will supervise staff, maintain records, coordinate supplies, and participate in required trainings. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for supporting students’ learning and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have CPR/First Aid certification and be able to provide current evidence of biennial training.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting and the ability to supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment with activities and instruction to support program goals.
• Conduct daily assessments to ensure YMCA and BFTS compliance.
• Supervise staff and communicate concerns with the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files to stay compliant with Bright from the Start and YMCA.
• Compile attendance and program records; coordinate supply orders with the Director.
• Attend BFTS, YMCA trainings; maintain annual BFTS training hours.
• Support students with virtual learning as required by their school district.
• Implement YMCA safety protocols related to COVID and branch operations.
