Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking an Afterschool Site Director for the East Lake YMCA Teen Center in Atlanta. This part-time role oversees daily program activities for elementary-age children, ensuring alignment with YMCA and Bright from the Start standards and safety protocols.

You will supervise staff, manage attendance, and coordinate supplies while supporting virtual-learning tasks as required. Strong communication, Office skills, and relevant credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a credential that meets BFTS Site Directors requirement.
• Experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
• Licensed setting and supervision experience in a school-age setting is a plus.
• Current CPR/First Aid training (biennial).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and platforms like Google Classroom and Zoom.
• Must pass a Bright from the Start fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment with varied activities and instruction to support program goals.
• Conduct daily assessments to ensure compliance with YMCA and BFTS regulations.
• Supervise staff and report concerns to the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files to stay in compliance with Bright from the Start and YMCA.
• Track attendance and other required program data.
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director.
• Attend required trainings (BFTS, YMCA) and maintain training hours.
• Assist students with virtual learning assignments as needed.
• Implement YMCA safety protocols including COVID procedures.
