Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks an Afterschool Site Director to lead day-to-day operations for elementary-age programs in a grant-funded setting. You will plan activities, monitor compliance, supervise staff, and ensure program quality aligned with YMCA and Bright from the Start standards.

This role requires collaboration with a Director and engagement with families and schools. The ideal candidate has 21+ years, a BFTS Site Directors credential, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess a credential meeting BFTS Site Directors requirement.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting.
• CPR/First Aid training current.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and online platforms (Google Classroom, Zoom).
• Must pass Bright from the Start fingerprint check.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment with activities to support program goals.
• Conduct daily assessments for compliance with YMCA and BFTS regulations.
• Supervise staff and communicate concerns to the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files per regulations.
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director.
• Attend required trainings and maintain BFTS hours.
• Provide input on planning and program development.
• Assist students with virtual learning as required.
