Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an Afterschool Site Director to lead elementary-age programs, ensuring high-quality, school-ready activities. You will oversee daily operations, staff, and regulatory compliance while partnering with program leaders to advance literacy and student outcomes.

We value strong communication, coordination with schools, and adherence to safety protocols, including CPR/First Aid basics.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED required
• CPR/First Aid biennial training current
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online platforms
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pass fingerprint background check

Responsibilities

• Create an engaging environment with varied activities to meet program goals
• Monitor daily operations for compliance with YMCA and regulatory standards
• Supervise staff and communicate concerns to Program Director
• Maintain staff and student records in accordance with policy
• Track attendance and other program data
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director
• Attend required trainings (BFTS, YMCA, others) and complete annual hours
• Provide input on program planning and development
• Assist students with virtual learning as needed
• Implement YMCA COVID safety and branch operation protocols
