Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta seeks an Afterschool Site Director to oversee day-to-day operations, plan activities, and ensure compliance with program standards. You will supervise staff, maintain records, and coordinate supplies, trainings, and assessments.

You will also support student learning, assist with virtual assignments, and uphold safety protocols in a dynamic afterschool environment. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum credential meeting BFTS Site Directors requirement.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Google Classroom and Zoom.
• Must pass fingerprint check.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment with activities and instruction supporting program goals.
• Conduct daily assessments to ensure compliance with YMCA and Bright from the Start regulations.
• Supervise staff and communicate concerns to the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files to stay compliant with BFTS and YMCA policies.
• Compile attendance records and other program data.
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director.
• Attend BFTS, YMCA and other trainings as scheduled; maintain annual trainings hours.
• Assist with virtual learning assignments as required by the school district; support safety protocols.
