Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks an Afterschool Site Director to oversee day-to-day operations and guide program development for elementary-age children at Alpharetta YMCA (Ed Isakson). You will lead staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage documentation, and support student learning, including virtual assignments when needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a BFTS Site Director credential, and current CPR/First Aid certification, with prior experience in group

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must hold a credential meeting BFTS Site Director requirements.
• Experience with school-age children in a group setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment with varied activities to support program goals.
• Conduct daily assessments to ensure YMCA/BFTS compliance.
• Supervise staff and communicate concerns with the Program Director.
• Maintain staff and student files per YMCA/BFTS standards.
• Compile attendance and program documentation.
• Coordinate supply orders with the Program Director.
• Attend trainings and maintain required hours.
• Consult with Directors on student development or behavior.
• Contribute to program planning and development.
• Complete monthly self‑assessments of the program.
• Assist students with virtual learning as required.
• Implement YMCA safety protocols related to COVID.
