Job summary

Youth Development Professional – Elementary will work at a school-based site with Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro. You will lead after-school activities for middle school youth, provide mentorship, and support academic and social-emotional development in a safe, inclusive environment.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engaging supervision: create a safe, structured environment where youth feel supported.
• Facilitate engaging activities: lead after-school programs promoting learning, creativity, and social development.
• Adapt and implement lessons: deliver curriculum-based activities with flexible approaches.
• Create a positive learning environment: establish routines and behavior management strategies.
• Build positive relationships: mentor youth, encourage participation, recognize strengths.
• Manage daily operations: oversee transitions, meals, and lessons for smooth flow.
• Collaborate with your team: work with colleagues to improve activities and programs.
