Job summary

Youth Development Professional – Elementary will work primarily at a school-based site within the Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro, supporting middle school youth after school. You will create a safe, engaging environment and deliver curriculum-based activities that promote academic success and social-emotional growth.

The role emphasizes mentorship, inclusivity, and collaboration with a diverse team. Schedule runs Monday through Friday, 1:00–6:00 PM, on-site, with potential summer camp

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; entry-level role.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Engage and supervise youth in a safe, welcoming environment.
• Lead after-school activities promoting learning and social development.
• Deliver curriculum-based activities and adjust for students' needs.
• Establish routines and behavior management to keep youth engaged.
