Read Better Be Better is seeking a part-time After-School Literacy Program Coach to support elementary students at a Roosevelt School District site in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead reading activities, mentor students, and help implement the curriculum in a dynamic after-school setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferably with ongoing studies in education) and a patient, engaging approach. Training is provided, with occasional virtual meetings and scheduled weeks.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Preferred candidates are enrolled in a degree program or have experience working with children in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate after-school literacy activities for elementary students.
• Mentor a cohort of Readers and Leaders.
• Ensure progress of curriculum and create a safe, positive learning environment.
• Attend weekly coach meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination at partner schools.
