Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Preferred candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree program (i.e. teaching, educational studies, youth & early childhood development).
• Experience working with children in a school setting is valued.
• Strong classroom management and a patient personality are key components.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the after-school literacy program and guide a cohort of Readers and Leaders.
• Support curriculum progress and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Attend essential paid training and virtual/in-person staff meetings with the Program Coordinator.
• Be flexible with schedule and communicate needs for coverage or substitutions.
