Job summary

Read Better Be Better is seeking part-time After-School Literacy Program Coaches to guide a cohort of young Readers and Leaders at the Mesa site. The role involves facilitating the literacy program, supporting curriculum progress, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment.

You will receive essential paid training, work 5–10 hours per week, with meetings weekly via school district coordination. A high school diploma or GED is required, and experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Preferred candidates are enrolled in a relevant degree program or have experience working with children in a school setting.
• Classroom management skills and a patient personality are key components we look for in our Program Coaches.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the literacy program and ensure curriculum progress.
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment for students.
• Attend essential paid training and onboarding prior to starting at the assigned school.
• Collaborate with Program Coordinator and meet weekly to share successes and address concerns.
