Job summary

After-School All-Stars LA is seeking a Part-time Program Leader in Los Angeles. The role supports academic, cultural and recreational enrichment for youth, under supervision, in a safe and inspiring environment.

Core hours are 2:00PM - 6:30PM; must be 18+, with HS diploma or equivalent and ability to pass required screenings. The program emphasizes teamwork, communication, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in grades K-12 in recreational, educational and/or community youth outreach setting.
• Ability to collaborate with School District staff, parents and community leaders.
• Must clear Drug Test, Tuberculosis screening and DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementation of the daily after-school program under supervision.
• Maintain a 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, guardians, and school staff to increase program visibility.
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Supervise student participants during activities to ensure safety and a positive environment.
• Assist with field trips and events as needed.
• Distribute supper/snack per schools' protocols.
• Maintain program materials and classroom spaces in good condition.
