Job summary

The Town of Moraga in Contra Costa County is hiring a full-time Maintenance Worker in the Parks Maintenance Division. The role performs entry-level labor including park and open space maintenance, with weekend and some evening shifts for events.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a California Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification through Town-sponsored training.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Flexible to work varied schedule including weekends and evenings.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of entry-level labor in parks, landscaped public areas, and open space.
• Operate a variety of vehicles and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Support park clean-up, picnic area prep, and special events.
