Job summary

The City of Danville is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker to support Parks & Recreation facilities. You will assist with upkeep of public parks, mowing athletic fields, trimming trees, cleaning restrooms, and minor repairs, under supervision.

Candidates must have HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work outdoors in all weather, including nights and weekends during peak season (April–December).

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Prior maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid and current driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks and Recreation facilities under supervision.
• Support upkeep of parks, athletic fields, and public spaces.
• Perform mowing, planting, trimming, restrooms cleaning, and basic repairs.
• Operate power equipment and ensure safety and health compliance.
• Assist Public Works with leaf pickup during peak season.
