Job summary

Greater Vallejo Recreation District in Vallejo, California, is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Equipment Operator to join the Maintenance department. You will assist the full-time crew with park, facility and grounds upkeep, operating a range of machinery and performing routine inspections and minor repairs.

This position requires flexibility for day or evenings hours, weekends and holidays, and a valid California driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, utility vehicles and other grounds maintenance machinery.
• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain turf areas, sports fields and landscaped grounds.
• Follow safety procedures and report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain records of equipment use and maintenance activities.
