Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing grounds work or similar duties, including operating maintenance equipment and maintaining irrigation systems.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a forklift operator’s certificate.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California pesticide applicators certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plants, waters, weeds, trims, fertilizes, restores and mows lawns, shrubs, trees and flower beds.
• Operates and maintains irrigation systems and sprinklers.
• Drives vehicles and operates landscape maintenance equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance on tools and equipment and assists in safety trainings.
• Responds to inquiries and maintains public safety during grounds activities.
