Job summary

Duke University is seeking a Manager, Parking to lead operations, technology platforms, transportation systems, and customer service for DUHS and the School of Medicine. The role partners with campus leaders to shape long-range plans, improve service delivery, and drive data-driven improvements across parking programs.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, with preference for medical/university parking operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 4+ years of relevant or comparable professional experience in parking/operations.
• Direct medical or university experience in parking/operations preferred.
• Ability to oversee a busy parking operation, analyze reports, manage projects, and supervise personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day parking operations, technology systems, access control platforms, and related hardware/software.
• Ensure efficient, secure, cost-effective parking operations with exceptional customer service.
• Oversee parking facility utilization, waitlists, occupancy controls, and access programs.
• Partner with university and health system leaders to develop long-range strategic plans and initiatives.
• Identify and implement technology enhancements and process improvements for service delivery and performance.
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives through planning, prioritization, and execution.
• Serve as SME for parking/transportation tech systems; ensure integration with SAP, Workday, Duke Card, access control, payroll deduction, and SIS.
• Build strong partnerships between Parking Services, DUHS leadership, IT, HR, and communications.
• Manage vendor relationships; review/ negotiate service agreements, licenses, and performance.
• Utilize data to analyze utilization, occupancy trends, and enforcement metrics; provide actionable insights.
• Recruit, hire, develop, coach, and evaluate staff; promote inclusive, collaborative environment.
