Job summary

The City of Grand Rapids is seeking a Parking Facilities Supervisor to oversee Mobile GR's parking facilities maintenance operations, supervise staff, and ensure facility readiness across ramps, lots, and related infrastructure.

The role includes prioritizing work, managing staff schedules, and coordinating preventative maintenance contracts and capital projects with oversight from the Assistant Director. Strong safety focus and customer service are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business management, accounting, or a related field (i.e., facilities management, construction management).
• Four (4) years of experience in managing multi-unit, revenue-generating facilities for public use.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the maintenance team; approves timesheets, creates schedules, and conducts quality inspections and performance evaluations.
• Conducts monthly team meetings and regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
• Ensures safety compliance; provides training and guidance to maintenance staff.
• Handles customer complaints and service inquiries related to parking facilities.
• Provides facilities asset management; manages day-to-day operations of each facility in asset registry.
• Plans and leads capital projects.
