Job summary

The City of Norfolk is seeking a Parking Enforcement Supervisor to oversee citation and enforcement operations within the Parking Division. You will plan patrols, train staff, enforce codes, and report on performance metrics while delivering professional customer service.

The role requires at least one year of supervisory experience in customer service, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work essential duties, including weekday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a supervisory position in customer service.
• Essential position; may be required to report during inclement weather and emergencies.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and assign daily patrol routes and schedules for full field coverage.
• Establish performance standards, train and mentor staff, and administer disciplinary actions.
• Enforce local parking codes and state vehicle laws; issue warnings and citations.
• Compile and maintain operational logs and reports including trends and towing records.
• Respond to and resolve public inquiries and service complaints in a timely manner.
• Coordinate maintenance needs and signage with other municipal departments.
• Manage hearing and court schedules and handle citation disputes and voids.
• Direct field response during city vehicle accidents with on-scene reporting.
