City of Northampton is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol municipal streets and lots, issue violations, and ensure compliance with parking ordinances. The role requires a high school diploma, a Massachusetts Class D license, and the ability to operate handheld ticket devices on an Android platform.

You will coordinate with the parking office, direct traffic when needed, record daily activity, and work a Tuesday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with shift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Massachusetts Class D operator license required.
• Experience dealing with the public preferred.

Responsabilités

• Enforce parking ordinances by patrolling streets and parking lots and issuing violations.
• Operate immobilization devices and arrange towing for vehicles on the immobilization list.
• Communicate with the parking office and dispatch; respond to complaints as needed.
• Direct traffic when necessary until police arrival.
• Check meters and kiosks; report maintenance needs.
• Provide daily activity summaries.
