Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, seeks a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor streets and lots, issue citations, and assist with event parking. You will answer questions, manage parking policies, and help maintain meters and signage across campus or city locations.

This role requires the ability to work alone, strong judgment, and excellent customer service. Candidates should be 18+, with a valid driver's license, and able to perform in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of geography of the enforcement area.
• Hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to use a handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
• Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor streets, lots, garages, or campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance; impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Work alone and exercise proper judgment, tact and diplomacy.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep and maintenance.
• Assist in collection and security of all parking revenues and fees.
• Assist event staff with parking for events and lot usage control.
• Assist with permit sales during peak seasons; data entry and frontline customer service.
• Other related duties as assigned.
