Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a parking enforcement officer in Annapolis, MD. You will monitor streets and lots to enforce parking policies and provide frontline customer service in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of geography of the area they are enforcing.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to use a handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
• Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, or campus to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance; impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Work alone and exercise proper judgement, tact and diplomacy.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment, signage, and lot maintenance.
• Assist in collecting and securing revenues from meters and pay stations.
• Assist event staff with parking for events and lot usage control.
• Assist in permit sales during peak seasons; data entry and frontline customer service.
• Other related duties as assigned.
