Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer - Driving in the Harrisburg area. The role involves monitoring streets and facilities to ensure compliance with parking policies and providing excellent customer service to the public.

Responsibilities include issuing citations, operating a vehicle or bicycle, handling equipment, and supporting event and permit operations. The position requires independence, safety consciousness, and the ability to work in varying weather

Qualifications

• Geography knowledge of enforcement area.
• Ability to operate a hand-held computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Understanding and application of parking regulations.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, or campuses to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized hand-held computer or manual tickets; impound, boot or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Work independently with sound judgment, tact and diplomacy.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep (meters, signs, posts, etc.).
• Assist in collecting parking revenues and fees and support event parking operations.
• Support permit sales and data entry tasks during peak seasons.
