Job summary

Indy seeks an Assistant Park Manager to oversee programs, services, facilities and staff at the designated park location when the Park Manager is unavailable. Responsibilities include supporting aquatics, sports/fitness, arts, youth and senior programs, with possible aquatic duties depending on site.

You will assist in budgeting, contracts and partnerships, supervise on-site personnel, and ensure excellent customer service. Travel and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or four years experience in Recreation or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service focus.
• Self-motivated, dependable and able to work under general supervision.
• Licenses/certifications: CPR/First Aid Teaching, chauffeur license, NYSCA clinician, CPRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee programs, services, facilities and personnel in manager's absence.
• Assist in designing and implementing recreational programs across core areas.
• Assist in development and management of budgets, contracts and partnerships.
• Coordinate volunteer advisory council and customer service relations.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate on-site staff and volunteers; travel as needed.
