Job summary

Indy Parks seeks a dedicated supervisor to oversee daily sports, programs, services, and facilities at assigned park locations. You will manage recreational programming, follow established policies, and use independent judgment for scheduling and discipline, reporting to the Park Manager.

You will deliver excellent customer service, initiate new programs, coordinate events, and ensure safety and compliance with park rules. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• General knowledge of sports, recreational games and arts and crafts.
• Ability to plan and organize activities.
• Ability to maintain discipline and supervise participants of all ages.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; applicable licenses/certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily sports, programs, services, and facilities at assigned park locations.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers and establish rapport with park users.
• Initiate new sports, aquatics, and recreation programs.
• Schedule classes and assist in planning and budgeting for events.
• Enforce rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with field and equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
• Open/close facilities and ensure security of city assets.
