Job summary

IKEA USA in Phoenix is seeking a Retail Store Associate who floats between departments to help customers, stock shelves, and support a positive shopping experience. You will learn product features and assist customers with their home needs across multiple departments.

You will also handle food service items, receive and stock goods, and process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges. This full-time role offers benefits and a 34-40 hour work week with a pay range of $18.50-$26.14 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices.
• Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

What you'll be doing day to day
