• Increases parent involvement by working with school, parent and community organizations.
• Facilitates parent and school community concerns and issues including policies or facilities.
• Conducts outreach to engage parents in their children’s education.
• Convenes regular parent meetings and events on key concerns to parents.
• Attends parent meetings with the principal when appropriate.
• Works with the parent association to establish by-laws, elections, and activities per policy.
• Acts as liaison to Central and Field-based parent support staff.
• Maintains contact with community organizations providing services to the school’s program.
• Organizes back-to-school and other events to welcome parents and involve the community.
