Job summary

Bi-State Development is seeking a Paratransit Dispatcher to ensure safe, efficient transportation for Metro Call-A-Ride customers. You will support Operators and customers on the day of service, maintaining on-time performance through radio dispatching, scheduling software, and MDC monitoring.

The role requires working varying shifts, including weekends, with a focus on safety, confidentiality, and collaborative problem solving to coordinate drivers, vehicles, and routes.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of paratransit operations and FTA requirements.
Experience with dispatching, scheduling, and customer service.

Responsibilities

Maintain on-time performance using two-way radio dispatching and computer software.
Assign vehicles and operators to cover service needs.
Handle incidents, emergencies, and passenger issues as required.
Assist customers with reservations, cancellations, and inquiries.
Create accurate reports on incidents and staffing.
