Job summary

Bi-State Development seeks a Paratransit Dispatcher to ensure safe, efficient transportation for Metro Call-A-Ride customers. You will coordinate Operators and Vehicles, monitor dispatch systems, and respond to emergencies, incidents, and special needs as they arise.

The role requires strong scheduling, communication, and problem-solving skills, with multiple shifts including weekends. Compensation reflects a solid range with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of local geography and metro area.
• Experience with automated reservation and scheduling systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and typing.
• Understanding of FTA requirements for Paratransit service.
• Knowledge of radio dispatching and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain on-time performance via two-way radio dispatch and scheduling software.
• Assign vehicles and operators to cover service needs with management coordination.
• Report incidents, accidents, and passenger issues as required.
• Assist customers with service requests, reservations, and complaints.
• Plan efficient routing and scheduling using specialized software.
