Job summary

Lexington Trails Middle School in De Soto is seeking a Resource Paraprofessional to support the classroom teacher and foster a positive learning environment for students.

Responsibilities include supervising student behavior, assisting with activities, and relaying pertinent information to school staff; position is 7.5 hours per day on a 174-day calendar, with starting pay of $15.75 per hour and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Current Certification of Health, including negative TB test.
• Clear criminal background check completed.
• If Title 1 building, 48 college credits or Title 1 assessment required.

Position Function

The Resource Paraprofessional assists the instructor in creative a positive work environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. The Resource Paraprofessional monitors student behavior and provides necessary information to school personnel.

Starting Salary

$15.75/hour - commensurate with experience

Requirements

• All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
