Job summary

Unified School District No. 232 is seeking a Resource Paraprofessional at Lexington Trails Middle School to assist the instructor in creating a positive learning environment. The role monitors student behavior and provides information to campus staff to support student development.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check; TB test compliance is needed. Title 1 buildings may require 48 college credits or passing the Title 1 assessment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred
• Current TB test on file (negative)
• Completion of clear criminal background check
• If building is Title 1, 48 college credits or passing Title 1 assessment required

Position Function: The Resource Paraprofessional assists the instructor in creative a positive work environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. The Resource Paraprofessional monitors student behavior and provides necessary information to school personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children, preferred
• Current Certification of Health, including negative TB test
• Completion of clear, criminal background check
• If the building is classified as Title 1, 48 hours of college credit or passing the Title 1 assessment test is required

Starting Salary: $15.75/hour- commensurate with experience

Job Category: Classified, 174 workday calendar, 7.5 hrs/day (37.5 hrs/week)

Requirements:

• Allemployees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis).If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) wecan accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
• Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.
