Job summary

De Soto Unified School Dist is seeking a Center-Based Paraprofessional for Mill Creek Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports intensive instructional programs, daily living and behavioral skills, and may include medical care under a licensed nurse, with a 174-day calendar and 3.75 hours per day.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with children preferred, current health certification (TB), and a clear criminal background check.

Qualifications Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent

Starting Salary: $17.50/hour - commensurate with experience

Job Category: Classified, 174 workday calendar, 3.75 hrs/day (18.75 hrs/week)

Requirements

• All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
• Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.
