Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a CAMS Designer II to create 2D/3D designs for customer-specific units, using Creo Parametric and proprietary software. You will review work for accuracy, apply drafting standards, and support larger projects while collaborating with a technical team to deliver high-quality designs.

The role is field-based, on-site at customer locations, with occasional travel. Candidates should have an associate degree in Mechanical Design, basic CAD knowledge, and experience with 3D

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or related field.
• Basic CAD/drafting knowledge and ability to read technical drawings.
• Exposure to Boolean logic or rules-based modeling.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Use Creo Parametric and proprietary software to support parametric CAD modeling.
• Apply Boolean logic and design rules to configure product designs.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and related documentation.
• Produce design documentation using CAD and PLM systems.
• Review designs and orders for accuracy before release to manufacturing.
• Follow drafting standards, design practices, and procedures.
• Support portions of larger design projects and complete tasks on time.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver quality solutions.
• Continue building technical knowledge through training and development opportunities.
